BEU negotiators won prep periods and “duty-free” lunches at the bargaining table — and individual teacher control of them — apart from bargaining meeting or consult time. Here are examples of teacher activity for which time is needed. Note that none of these work activities include meeting with one or more colleagues. Clearly, if all of the meetings are going to happen, more time is going to have to be reserved for it at the bargaining table.
